Information: This is a 3500 cuft airship made by Thunder Balloons in 1978, built as a prototype for their full-size airship. Registered as G-ERMS (Experiential Radio-Controlled Model Ship) and
con.no AS1. The envelope was made out of a material specially made by a sail manufacturer in Southampton (a rubberised ripstop nylon)
Update: Only being cold inflated due to age.

Information: Registered incorrectly as an AX6-056A initially, reregistered as a Thunder 0-5 Registration:
G-BBOD and given the serial number 013 (as Thunder Balloons decided that no one would want this, despite this being their first balloon) 48 Gores originally fitted with load tapes (now
removed). It was made as the prototype for Simon Faithfull’s 'Eric of Titchfield', G-BBOY and given Thunder serial 001, even though it was built a full year after their prototype G-BAIR 'Jumpin'
Jack', serial number 003 which was flown for the first time at the first Icicle Meet (7.1.73)
